Important Information Regarding Vaccinations

We want all the animals in our care to remain healthy and unfortunately, we cannot admit any guest to Old Barn Kennels who is not up-to-date with their vaccinations. On arrival we will require evidence that dogs have been vaccinated.

Our Typical Kennel Routine
  • 07:30am - 10:00am

The sound of music lets our guests know it’s time to rise, doors are opened and the guests are let out into their own exclusive run.

Each guest is given an individual visit to make sure they are well before each boarder is walked individually, with an individual member of staff. Dogs from the same family may be walked together.

Breakfast will be waiting in the dog's kennels/cabins on their arrival from their walk. Feed charts are completed and all movements and dietary habits are monitored. Medication (where necessary) is administered and charts are updated.

  • 10:30am

The unit is opened up to allow each guest time to have interactive play with our staff.

  • 10:30am - 13:30pm

Our guests are monitored but not disturbed unless necessary, leaving them to have that morning nap after their walk.

  • 13:30pm - 15:30pm

During this time our guests are given individual walks, with ball play, frisbee, or for our older members just a good old fuss.

If your dog likes to play with other dogs then please let us know we will always do our best to find your dog a friend who they can spend their walks and free time around the kennels with. If your dog prefers the company of humans over dogs this is no problem, we can cater to these needs and walk individually.

  • 16:00pm - 18:30pm

Evening walks around our paddock and off lead time for all guests in our smaller enclosed paddock, dinner will be waiting for our guests in their cabin / kennel for their arrival.

  • 21:00pm to 22:00pm

All guests are let out for toilet breaks, tucked into bed and given a bed time biscuit, lights out and music will be lowered or turned off to suit each guest.
