A luxury boarding kennels for small and medium sized dogs situated in Blithbury, Staffordshire near to Rugeley, within easy travelling distance of Lichfield, Alrewas & Burton-upon-Trent.

We are proud to offer a boarding kennels that we believe is a 5 Star establishment, and would like to prove that by saying come and meet the team and see for yourself. We look forward to meeting you and your dog and showing you our facilities, including our luxury log cabins.

Due to the nature and set up of our kennels we do not board large or extra-large breeds.

This was the first time since having Marley 2 years ago that we have left him longer than 1 night. We went a few weeks ago to look around Old Barn Kennels as we needed somewhere for him to stay whilst we were on holiday. As soon as we turned up Marley seemed really happy and Fran who showed us around made us feel really comfortable and we knew that this was the place to leave our fur baby and knew he would have the best time. We picked Marley up from there yesterday and he was so happy, he had had lots of fun and made lots of friends. We had lots of updates and could see him enjoying himself with his friends through Facebook. Our 3 dogs have all stayed here and as rescues were all quite nervous .. all settled well and 1 runs straight off when we arrive he loves it so much! The owner takes time to help your dog settle and sends such lovely regular updates throughout the dogs stay. Nala has just been on her first holiday at Old Barn and has had a lovely time. Staff go above and beyond to make the dogs feel at home and Nala has had lots of cuddles with staff.She has enjoyed mixing with the other dogs and made a friend Reggie. I use Old Barn as they are not like other kennels , they care and the cabins are like home from home for the dogs. Highly recommend. We used old barn kennels for the first time recently. We are so impressed with them, communication was incredible, lots of photos and videos and updates of Luna. She was treated like royalty and it was clear she was having the best time there. The kennels are beautiful and clean and the whole place is just stunning, perfect place for any dog to have their own little holiday. Bailey has just come back from her 2 weeks 5* holiday at Old Barn Kennels. It was our first time leaving her for that duration but we were kept assured she was having a great time through the regular FB updates and upon collecting her this evening the relationship she had developed with the team was evident. The staff will take their time to get to know your dog and will look after them as if they were their own. I wouldn’t ever contemplate leaving Bailey anywhere else, already booked her further doggie holiday dates for next year. Couldn’t find my favourite FB photos but a collection to evidence what a happy border collie she was during her stay. Our dog and my mum and dad’s dog stayed here while we holidayed in Tenerife. We were nervous about leaving them as they hadn’t been away from home for a long time due to Covid. Both dogs are Romanian rescues with quite traumatic pasts before they were rehomed so can be quite nervous. Fran was absolutely amazing with them. The regular updates on Facebook meant that we could see pictures of them and know that they were happy. My dog shandy is nervous of new people and takes ages to bond due to her history, yet when we picked her up this morning she ran up to Fran so confidently for some fuss as if to say ‘goodbye and thanks for having me’. I could tell that she loves Fran and that’s rare for my dog who can often come across as quite reserved with people. I wholeheartedly recommend Old Barn Kennels! First time that our very clingy young Pomeranian had been away from us. As he is very nervous of other dogs,, we were obviously concerned. All he wants is human company and lots of human love.
